SUGGESTIBILITY SEQUENCING |
Saturday 03/27/10 7:00 am
Room 1 |
 |
So many folks look on Suggestibility Effects as one-shot simple tests to decide whether or not it's appropriate to move forward with a particular client or how they might proceed. Suggestibility effects are often treated as independent of the induction proper. While this can be true, it does not have to be so. Many hypnotists fail to take advantage of suggestibility effects as inductions in their own right. With many suggestibility effects, once you have the response, you have full-blown hypnosis and so there is no reason to stop at that point in order to "begin" a formal induction. In this session, Brian David Phillips discusses and presents examples of the use of Suggestibility Sequences, a series of suggestibility effects that can be layered upon one another to create a sequence that enhances expectancy and intensifies imaginative involvement for hypnosis (eyes open or closed, it does not matter) and typically becomes the induction itself . . . besides, they can be loads of fun! A playful approach to Suggestibility Sequencing is perfect for the street hypnotist as well as the entertainer and even the clinician will find the concept to be a very powerful addition to one's repertoire. |

Master the Art of the Intake and make it an integral part of therapy |
Saturday 03/27/10 8:00 am
Room 1 |
 |
Objectives
1. Show attendees how to take a complete intake
2. Help attendees look for the real issue to be dealt with
3. Aquatint attendees with clinical forms
4. Explain the benefits of a complete interview and how it is the beginning of therapy
Description/Content
The intake is the most important conscious time spent with the client. It is when a trust and bond are established. When the intake is done correctly, the client is well on the way to wellness. By finding out all about the client you can help the client begin to see the patterns in her life that have led her to her current behavior. These patterns have a beginning, middle and hopefully, in your office, an end. Just by being able to open up to the questions asked the client’s healing begins. Many say that the first session was their awakening. Allowing enough time for discovery is important. For most clients, it took many years of suffering before they arrived at the door of the Hypnotherapist. Often I have heard, “You are the first person who has ever really wanted to hear my story. You know more about me in one session than my psychiatrist ever did.”
Come and find out “How To” get the client to open up and begin processing her story. Remember the ISE (Initial Sensitizing Event) is never recallable by the conscious mind. The Intake Interview begins to jog the subconscious memory. Therefore, when regression begins the path to the past is wide open. Experience how easy it is to get at core issues by asking questions in a specific sequence. The Intake is an art that you can learn. Join Dr. Spencer in this dynamic seminar. Download the Intake Form prior to the seminar and bring your pen, paper and intuitive mind. |

Using the Elman Induction in Your Practice |
Saturday 03/27/10 9:00 am
Room 1 |
 |
"This is the most powerful, adaptable and effective hypnosis induction in the world. Developed by legendary hypnotist Dave Elman, this rapid induction will produce somnambulism in less than four minutes and will hypnotize almost ANYONE!"
Have you ever had a client or subject fail to enter trance? Have you ever had someone say to you, “That was very relaxing, but I don’t think I was hypnotized.” What would it mean to your practice if you could ensure that this almost NEVER happened again. Sean Michael Andrews, the world’s foremost expert on the methods of Dave Elman will show you how to do the world’s most powerful hypnotic induction.
This is FACT.
There will be no further horn-blowing, and there will definitely be no hard-sell pitch that usually accompanies a hypnosis product launch. According to Dave Elman's son, "Dad has become a cult figure, a fate he would not aspire to." I respect that. Dave Elman dedicated his life to teaching medical doctors and dentists how to heal their patients.
It is easy to understand how Dave Elman could become a cult figure. His induction reliably produces deep trance in over 85% of subjects when used in its most basic "script" form by a novice hypnotist. Most professional hypnotists who do not use the Dave Elman induction will admit (if they are totally honest) that they are nowhere near as successful. When the parts of the Dave Elman induction are understood (as explained in the DVD) the induction becomes even more powerful so that you can hypnotize virtually anyone. |

EFT and inner child (subconscious) connection; creating a new paradigm for transitioning into a natural hypnotic state. |
Saturday 03/27/10 11:00 am
Room 1 |
 |
This presentation will introduce an alternative technique for achieving a hypnotic state. The intention of this presentation is to offer a means to bypass traditional suggestibility tests and convincers, which often times creates higher levels of anxiety during sessions. By focusing on EFT and inner child connection, a shortcut can be created to achieve a natural hypnotic state. By beginning a session with EFT, many negative blockages can be eliminated. This relaxes the conscious mind and passes by the critical barrier and allows the subconscious to open and listen. Instead of using depth tests, the subconscious reveals, naturally, it's own level. It will then find it's source, acknowledge it, accept it and release it. |

Transforming Troublesome Internal Voices |
Saturday 03/27/10 4:00 pm

Negative self-talk makes people feel bad, and these bad feelings are the trigger for a huge variety of problems and difficulties. These include most eating disorders, alcohol and other substance abuse, anxiety and panic disorder, anger and violence, depression—the list goes on and on. Often the people who suffer from these problems don’t realize that they are caused by troublesome voices, because they are so focused on the horrible feelings that result from them, and the need to escape from these feelings. This video is a demonstration and discussion of a new pattern for quickly transforming those negative internal voices. Steve developed this pattern in the summer of 2009 and it has rapidly become a standard in the field. |

How to convert website visitors into paying clients part 1 |
Saturday 03/27/10 9:00 pm
Room 2 |

Automatically turn your website visitors into a flood of extra profits by adding
the most effective (and underused) Internet tool to your marketing.
Very few Hypnotists use automated email follow-up marketing on their websites. And a website without an
autoresponder is like a head without a body.
Here's why: Only 2% of sales happen on the first contact**. This means if you don't have a follow up system, you are
missing out on 98% of potential cash flow!
The good news is, the Internet has made it easy to use low-cost automated email follow up systems. In this eyeopening
session you'll discover the secrets Internet pros use to maximize conversions and profits.
• Secrets of writing winning emails that people WANT to read! (and will get them to buy your services)
• How to avoid getting lost in your prospect's ocean of spam! (and avoid getting your emails labeled as spam)
• How often to email your prospects and your customers. (Be a welcome guest... not an annoying pest)
• What emails service providers you should use (and which ones are bad news).
• How you can create content that builds trust, credibility, and eventually transforms prospects into paying
customers! |

Dionysius or his twin buddy Bacchus doesn't have anything on us! For centuries all sorts of folks have been using chemicals, drugs, herbs, and more in order to alter their awareness into feelings of feeling really good . . . some have sought altered states of consciousness for therapeutic change or for introspective self-knowledge and others just liked the feeling of feeling high or drunk or more. Well, some mystics found ways to achieve these same feelings without the drugs and we hypnotists can do the same. Yes, drunken sobriety can be yours. In this session, Brian David Phillips discusses and shares techniques related to a hypnosis process that is near and dear to his heart . . . helping folks feel drunk via hypnosis. Variations to the process will be discussed (Drug of Choice, Anchoring, Drinking Finger) and demonstrated. Of course, while this is a topic that is inherently fun and the recreational benefits are obvious to many, therapeutic and other applications will also be covered as well as applications to other areas. So, come on in, kick of your shoes, breathe in and relax and let yourself slip into a drunken feeling. |

Psychogenic Pain Workshop (part 2) |
Sunday 03/28/10 6:00 am
Room 2 |

A LEARNING EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEVER FORGET if you work with pain clients. This DVD Set is a must.
DVD #1 - Return one year after treatment for bird and feather phobia for Right Rib Pain, hypnosis review, frustration, glove anesthesia, cell memory and regression.
DVD #2 - Second Session – The pain returns, anger, rage investigation, ab reactions, and relief. Third session not needed. Two years later she continues to be pain free.
THIS LEARNING TOOL was designed to help hypnotists interested in working with pain management understand how to deal with bizarre behaviors and unusual complaints in a very 1, 2, 3 step-by-step approach of investigation and client focus. You will find this informative, enjoyable, and a learning experience that will convince you that you can work with pain clients.
Psychogenic pain is a term that was used to refer to real physical pain that is caused by a psychological problem. It is now known as a pain disorder associated with psychological factors. Some types of mental or emotional problems can cause pain. They can also increase or prolong pain. Headaches, muscle pains, back pain, and stomach pains are some of the most common types of psychogenic pain.
Sara was seen by me one year prior complaining of a phobia of birds and feathers. She is a school teacher who often had panic attacks and anxiety reactions caused by her fear which resolved during four hypnosis sessions. However, I was surprised when she said her Fibromyalgia had quit bothering her also. No mention has been made of this on her intake sheet or during her interview. When seen a year later she was still free of Fibromyalgia. But, she found another outlet for past anger and rage.
At this appointment she presents with an upper right side rib pain. Prior to this visit she had multiple physician appointments with no relief.
You will learn from these two sessions’ techniques for regression, cell memory, glove anesthesia, ab-reactions, forgiveness, guilt, and working through anger and rage. Techniques that help develop successful hypnosis for pain practice.

This training showcases my Provocative Change Works™ approaches to resolve anxiety based client conditions, including “The Voice Tempo Exercise” first published in Steve Andreas’s online newsletter and then fully described in his most recent book “Help with Negative Self Talk” I will also talk about other approaches than combine Frank Farrelly’s Provocative approach with indirect hypnosis. This approach works on a conversational basis in provoking client responses as well as using fractionation to shift client from a “stuck state” to a state of greater freedom.
The material you will see has been extensively “road tested” from working with literally hundreds of clients at my very busy and successful private practice. This Provocative Change Works™ approach requires the therapist to work in “the here and now” and to have an ability to improvise when working with clients rather than rely on stock techniques.
"You are totally disarming and beyond formalisation.
There is ease and naturalness about you and you make people relax really quickly.
You got the power man!"
Frank Farrelly, Creator of Provocative Therapy
"Do you know Nick Kemp? - (he is) exceptionally bright, and I have immensely enjoyed communicating...The kind of exchanges that I have been having... are the kind of activities that I think can really advance the field."

My program helps people break free of Bulimia once and for all. When we know how to treat it, it’s like the fast phobia cure, it just works. |

Fighting Obesity ~ A new approach with the Hypno-Band |
Sunday 03/28/10 8:00 am
Room 2 |

Weight loss therapy has been a staple of the hypnotherapist repertoire for many years. Many therapists have their own highly successful methods for dealing with clients who wish to lose those extra pounds, but what about those who are classed as “clinically obese?” In the long term, ordinary aversion therapy does not work for these clients and it has long been recognised that most cases of obesity stem from “emotional eating”. Today in the UK obesity is costing the NHS over £4 billion per year. Many resort to drastic measures such as bariatric surgery with all the risks, side effects and cost. Few however, are given any sort of psychological or emotional support and fail to understand the underlying reasons for their eating habits. With “gastric band hypnotherapy” we try to address these issues and provide the tools necessary to enable the obese client to lose weight and maintain a healthier lifestyle.

A lecture that outlines the basics of mental training for sports, specifically skiers and riders. I show how to start off with creating the belief system necessary for change and success. I guide the participants through actual real life examples of how the mind works and how using it in a haphazard fashion has prevented the successful outcomes that they have been hoping for. The lecture ends with a visualization example where they are allowed to have a hypnotic experience and create changes inside on how they view their skiing and how they can then use these exercises on their own with self hypnosis. |

Client Centered Parts Therapy part 1 |
Sunday 03/28/10 4:00 pm
Room 1 |
 |
How often do you work with clients who have inner conflicts? When they fail to respond to regression or other techniques, client centered parts therapy often helps resolve inner conflicts even after a client fails to respond to other techniques. When facilitated in a manner that resembles mediation, breakthroughs often occur; but there is a discipline that will help increase the probability of lasting success. It's also important to know the difference between detours and pitfalls when you walk the path of parts therapy. Charles Tebbetts was the pioneer of parts therapy; but before his passing in 1992 he asked Roy Hunter to continue his work with this valuable technique. Although many variations abound today, learn about parts therapy from someone who was taught by the legendary pioneer himself. |

Now she uses the transformative power of the mind to reprogram the subconscious to slow and sometimes even reverse aging processes. Her ground breaking program YOUTHING: A HYPNOTIC APPROACH TO ANTI-AGINGTM uses and modifies some of the most powerful hypnotic techniques to be an addition to (or instead of) standard anti-aging methods such as cosmetics, and surgical procedures. This is a revolutionary approach that has a permanent positive impact on health and behavior.
YOUTHING which consists of 13 topics and 17 hypnotic messages can be presented in workshop format for groups, or as a basis for individual consultation. The manual and CD’s are designed to work as a self-study program. Sample and learn more at Hypnosummit. |
